  • UCA Exhibition Team

    Dear Mr. Shipley

We are a group of fine art students looking for sponsorship to help us create an exhibition outside of our academic framework and studio context. In the long term our team is hoping to establish lasting connections with professionals related to our field of study, and encourage more student-led exhibitions. Alongside this, the project will provide all 3 years of the BA course with a chance to integrate with the art world.

This exhibition is being established to provide students from UCA Farnham with an outlet for their practice that is external to the university curriculum. This exhibition is innovative as we are creating the foundation for a future of student-led shows that rely on the individual efforts of students themselves and their abilities as artists, curators and event organizers. Not only will this experience enhance the individuals involved, the university will benefit through promotion in the capital, and through the initiative taken by current students.

We have established a relationship with The Spring in Vauxhall, a large warehouse space offering us a brilliant location in the capital for the artists to negotiate. We aim for the exhibition to take place on the 1st of December, and in order for the project to reach fruition, we are asking you for your interest and support. We need to raise £2000, and despite invaluable help from the UCA fine art course, a considerable amount of money is still to be sourced.
Any help you could offer, either in terms of promotion or fundraising would contribute to the success of this exciting project and would be greatly appreciated.

    Our thanks, the curatorial team.
