Like her music, Lisa Germano is different. Neither she nor her sounds seem capable of selling themselves; they need a nudge. One of the distinct charms of her new album, in fact, is this fine-tuned ineffability. It creates an essence of pricelessness, a quality as rare as Ms. Germano’s charisma. Lyrically sophisticated and texturally daring, [...]
What is Chicano art? Learn the many answers to this question from the generation of artists who created new work, established art organizations, advocated for social change, and trained younger artists. Two panel discussions will feature members from the major Los Angeles Chicano art groups and centers that formed in the 1970s. This town hall-style [...]
Our third episode, on artist Rika Ohara, is currently in the editing room. Oliver and I are collaborating on this edit, which at the moment looks great! Meanwhile, Oliver is working on a new LA-Artist trailer that includes our first four episodes (only two of which have been released). The group of artists that comprise the LA-Artist Documentary Project’s first four episodes are: Lucas Aardvark, Sarah Sitkin, Rika Ohara, and Heriberto F. Luna.

Friends PLEASE HELP! This movie poster has been designed for the LA-Artist project. We’re going to post it around LA (coffee shops etc) and sending it to film festivals. Does it communicate?
For the text we are in between:
“DOCUMENTING ARTISTIC DIVERSITY IN LOS ANGELES”
and
“AN ONLINE DOCUMENTATION OF ART IN LOS ANGELES”
Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Oliver
