After a brief hiatus, LA Artist is back in full production. We left the series in mid-flow a month ago to introduce my Californian family to the bucolic delights of the Isle of Man (and, a very long time ago, home to a certain Miles Standish, leader of the Pilgrim Fathers who landed in North America in 1620).
Apart from the random rainy weather the trip was a complete success. Family was visited, cows were outsmarted and personal energy was restored.
Coming back to LA was a shock to the system- yes, there is an entirely different feeling to Time here and its got nothing to do with Time Zones . As for motorways – they don’t exist in the Isle of Man although there can be a brief traffic jam (that is – by local standards- for the traffic never actually stops moving – that would be a National Emergency for there are only 75,000 people on the Island after all but I was soon back on the road in LA and was back into the swing of things before I knew it.
The search for creative talent resumes. I was introduced to Sarah Sitkin who is a fantastic photographer and Michael Gomez-Burton is someone most def to watch.
Expect updates shortly on these young artists and details soon of another talented and unusual new artist who has kindly given me an interview.
Be in touch.
